About and the little dog laughed

Founded in 2008 by Australian designer Kylie Platt, inspired by a love of childhood — play, imagination, and the joy of making things by hand. When she was little, Kylie would sit in her Nana’s back room sewing clothes for her dolls, and learning to knit and crochet. She always loved that feeling of creating something from nothing.

Why We Do What We Do? After seeing so many soft toys come and go in her own children’s lives—often poorly made and loved for a moment, and quickly discarded—Kylie set out to create something different. We believe the best toys feel like they’ve been with you forever—soft, familiar, and full of comfort.

Thats why we make them the way toys used to be made—thoughtfully with natural fibres where possible, small hand finished details, and a whole lot of love. We also believe that your forever friend should be just that - made to last forever and handed down from one generation to the next. Some of our favourite moments are hearing how our softies become part of everyday family life.
